Kyrgyzstan Jeep Tour 8 Days

Day 1 Bishkek

Arrival in Bishkek

Meeting with local guide

Transfer to hotel 

Late breakfast

Get jeeps and start driving to Ala Archa National Park

The Park is a popular place for hiking, skiing and mountaineering.

It covers an area of 200 sq km mostly forested valleys,

waterfalls and rivers. The altitude of ranges at the highest point

is 4895m. 

Barbeque lunch

In the afternoon, return back to Bishkek.

Dinner

Overnight in Bishkek

Day 2  Bishkek – Chichkan gorge (240 km, about 4.5 hours).

Breakfast in the hotel

Drive from Bishkek to Chychkan Gorge.

The road winds through the picturesque canyons and gorges

of the Central Tien-Shan Mountain range. 

We will drive over two mountain passes, from one of them, 

Tuya-Ashuu Pass (3586 m), you may observe both

Chui and Suusamyr valleys.

Upon arrival in Chichkan Natural Reserve we will be accommodated

in a small road hotel.

In the afternoon, we will take a hike in the park and near the bank of

the mountain river.

Overnight and dinner in a small hotel 

 

Day 3 Chichkan gorge– Sary-Chelek Lake (345 km, 4 hours).

Breakfast in the hotel

Drive to Sary-Chelek lake area,one of the most beautiful national parks in Kyrgyzstan.

On the way to the lake we will also pass the largest water reservoir in the country –

Toktogul water reservoir. 

The Park and area includes rivers, Glaciers and permanent ice fields

and high mountain lakes lie on the north facing slopes. Steep sided, wooded valleys are cut

deep into the ridges by fast flowing streams.

Dinner and Overnight in tents or simple Guest House in the lake area.

Day 4 Sary Chelek Lake - Arslanbob village (320 km, 5-6 hours).

Breakfast 

Drive to Arslanbo located in the south of Kyrgyzstan and contains one of the most beautiful

health resorts. Arslanbob is situated at 1,600 meters above sea level. the area is covered with

walnut forests.

Upon arrival, we will walk to the nearest waterfall.

Arslanbob's scenic beauty and pleasant climate, as well as two impressive waterfalls, attract tourists,

pilgrims and other visitors during the spring and summer months. 

Dinner and overnight in guesthouses.

 

Day 5  Arslanbob village- Jalal Abad town to Son-Kul Lake, via Kazarman (470 km, 9-10 hours).

Breakfast 

After breakfast will will start the most exciting and adventurous day in our trip.

We will drive on a rough road along the Naryn River through several mountain passes. 

Our destination is the Son-Kul Lake over two passes: Baetov Pass and Kurtka Pass.

Upon arrival in the Son-Kul Lake area we will drive around the lake to meet the local nomads,  

Here the Kyrgyz people still live in traditional simplicity. We will meet with friendly Kyrgyz families

 and taste their fresh airan (yogurt) and kumis (a fermented national drink from mare's milk).

Dinner and overnight in Yurts.

 

Day 6  Son Kul lake – Issyk Kul lake via Kochkor village (300 km, 7-8 hours).

Breakfast 

Horseback riding (optional) or hiking

Late morning, start driving down to Kochkor for lunch,

After Lunch: continue driving to a hotel resort on Issyk-Kul Lake,

the second largest alpine lake in the world after Lake Titicaca South America.

Issyk-kul is 182 km long by 58 km wide; the lake emerged as a result of volcanic activity.

It is heated from below by thermal activity and never freezes even in the depths of winter.

In the summer, the water temperature reaches 25-28 degrees centigrade (warmer than the air)

and you can swim in the lake enclosed on all sides by the snowy peaks of the Tien-Shan Mountains.

Over the centuries the lake has been something of an oasis in this inhospitable mountain

environment. With its diverse flora and fauna Issyk-Kul Lake and the surrounding environments

are rightly considered to be one of Central Asia's most remarkable locations.

Dinner and overnight in a hotel on the lake shore. 

 

Day 7 Issyk-Kul Lake – Bishkek (250 km, 4 hours). 

Breakfast in the hotel

In the morning drive back to Bishkek.

On the way we pass through the very Boom Canyon which lies at the eastern end

of the Kyrgyz Range and provides the only corridor between the Chui and Issyk-Kul regions.

Converging together through this narrow canyon are a highway, a railway

that was built by German prisoners of war, and the Chu River.

Nowadays there are walls at various places along the gorge designed to prevent landslides

cascading down onto the road below. 

On arrival in Bishkek we will make a shorts sightseeing tour.

Farewell dinner and folklore show at a local restaurant

Overnight in a hotel.  

 

Day 8 Bishkek Departure

Breakfast in the hotel 

Transfer to the airport by coach for flight
